Just 10 days from now, I will be leading a trip along with my wife Meghan and pastor Said Ailabouni to the Holy Land, Israel and Palestine. A total of 39 people from different congregations and local communities are joining us on this journey to discover this part of the world in a new and exciting way, going beyond the news channels and the internet to see, hear and experience the Holy Land for themselves.
On this journey, we’ll be exploring ancient sites from the Old and New Testaments, the settings for the events of the Bible. We’ll also be meeting people who live, work, and worship in these places today. The trip will be focused on offering the group new insights about the land and its people: the past, present, and future of the place in which Jesus lived and did his ministry.
I am really excited to lead my first trip to the land that I call home. I am humbled and honored to know that there are people who want to learn about the place I grew up, its culture and people.
I would like to invite you to join me on this trip by following me on Twitter.com (GabiAelabouni) and by visiting Faith Lutheran’s website, www.faithinbrookfield.com, for a daily update on the places that the group will be visiting and for some quick insights.
